Privacy policy

MK Energies & Services is responsible for the data collected on www.mkenergies.com.

• Address: No. 26, Avenue des Huileries, Centre des Handicapés, opposite INRB, Gombe (Kinshasa)
• Email: info@mkenergies.com

We collect three kinds of data: what you enter in our forms, what you send us by WhatsApp or email, and visit statistics that do not identify you by name.

Forms

Our contact, rental, service and generator finder forms collect:

• your name;
• your email address and phone number;
• the subject and text of your message;
• the details of your need: power, duration, location, equipment concerned;
• for the finder, your sizing answers;
• if you fill it in, how you heard about us (optional field);
• the language and page you send the request from, and the channel that brought you to the site (search engine, social network, direct link, campaign parameters).

WhatsApp and email

The WhatsApp buttons on the site and the email buttons on product pages open your own app with a pre-filled message. The message is sent from your account: we receive what you choose to send. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.

If you use "Send on WhatsApp" on the contact form and have entered an email or a phone number, a copy of your request is also saved in our database so that we can follow it up.

The "Send" button on the contact form emails your message to us directly (see Forms).

In-house visit statistics

The website measures its traffic with its own tool. It records:

• the page visited and the language;
• the type of device;
• the referring page or site, and campaign (UTM) parameters, if any;
• clicks on quote buttons, catalogue and datasheet downloads, and use of the finder;
• the words typed into the site search;
• two random identifiers: one stored in your browser, the other valid for the session.

These statistics contain no name, email, phone number or message text. No IP address is recorded in them.

Our hosting provider processes each visitor's IP address to serve the pages and protect the website against abuse. It is not kept in our statistics.

We use your data for three purposes.

• To answer your requests: quotes, rental, services, questions.
• For sales follow-up on your requests.
• To improve the website, based on visit statistics.

Your data is read by the MK Energies & Services team. It also passes through technical providers, each for a specific task:

• Supabase: database for the catalogue, requests and statistics;
• Web3Forms: sends info@mkenergies.com the notification email for each request submitted through a form;
• Vercel: website hosting;
• Google: shows the Google map on the Contact page. As soon as you open that page, your browser loads the map from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and may set cookies;
• WhatsApp: only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.

These providers are based outside the DRC. The database is hosted in South Korea (Seoul region).

The website itself uses no advertising cookies. It stores a few items in your browser for statistics and for the comparison and finder features:

You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings. The website keeps working without it.

The Google map on the Contact page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies there.

Your requests are kept for as long as we need to answer and follow them up. We delete them if you ask us to.

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). In our database, only MK Energies & Services administrator accounts can read requests and statistics. Notification emails arrive in the info@mkenergies.com inbox.

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to its use for commercial follow-up.

To exercise these rights, email us at info@mkenergies.com. Give your name and the contact details you used for your request, so that we can find your data.

This policy applies under the personal data protection law of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

We may update this policy, for example if the website adds a service. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.

For any question about your data, email us at info@mkenergies.com. Our other contact details are on the Contact page. Publisher and hosting details are in the legal notice.
