Submersible pumps: what to know

Our 6 LEO submersible pumps work under water to empty a pit, remove dirty water or sewage, or pump water from a rainwater tank. The STK50F pumps while submerged down to 10 m. They are not designed for a deep borehole.

Choosing a submersible pump

For water carrying solids, check the maximum particle size the pump accepts. Then check the head to lift and the immersion depth on the datasheet. A float switch stops the pump when the level drops, so it does not run dry. Our guide on which water pump for a house compares all our pumps.

Our models

  • LEO AKS-751PWH: dirty water, 750 W, 14 m³/h, max. head 8 m, particles up to 35 mm, float switch.
  • LEO LKS-300P: rainwater tank, 300 W, 2.2 m³/h, max. head 11 m, float switch.
  • LEO STK50F: 0.37 kW, 2.4 m³/h, max. head 35 m, immersion down to 10 m.
  • LEO QDX1.5-32-0.75LA: drainage, 0.75 kW, 9 m³/h, max. head 32 m, float switch.
  • LEO LSWM100A: sewage, 0.75 kW, 19 m³/h, max. head 17 m, particles up to 25 mm.
  • LEO LSWM150A: sewage, 1.1 kW, 26 m³/h, max. head 13.5 m, particles up to 30 mm.

Frequently asked questions

Which pump for dirty water?

The LEO AKS-751PWH accepts particles up to 35 mm. For sewage, the LEO LSWM100A and LSWM150A accept particles up to 25 and 30 mm respectively, and deliver up to 19 and 26 m³/h.

Do these pumps start automatically?

Three models have a float switch: the AKS-751PWH, the LKS-300P and the QDX1.5-32-0.75LA. The float starts the pump when the water level rises and stops it when the level drops. For the other models, the datasheet does not mention a float switch.
