Welding equipment: what to know

Our 3 Brux diesel welding generators let you weld on a site or in a workshop without mains power. They are open-frame machines with a diesel engine and electric start. They deliver 180 to 300 A of welding current and a 1.8 to 5 kW power output at 220 V single-phase.

Choosing a welding generator

The maximum welding current sets the material thickness and electrode size you can use: ask your welder what your jobs need. The power output is for plugging in a tool or site lighting. Like any open-frame set, the machine must be used in a ventilated place, with the exhaust away from people.

Our models

  • Brux BX6000DEW: 180 A, 1.8 kW output, 186FA diesel engine, 30 Ah battery.

Frequently asked questions

Can a welding generator also power tools?

Yes, within the limit of its power output. According to the datasheets, the 220 V single-phase output is 1.8 kW for the BX6000DEW, 2.0 kW for the BX8000DEW and 5.0 kW for the BX16000DEW. That is enough for a power tool or site lighting.

Which welding current should I choose?

The BX6000DEW delivers up to 180 A, the BX8000DEW 220 A and the BX16000DEW 300 A. The higher the current, the thicker the material you can weld. Tell us about your usual jobs and we will help you choose.
