Peripheral pumps: what to know

Our 5 LEO peripheral pumps deliver high pressure at low flow, for the household water of a house or a small building. The datasheets that state the supply give single-phase, 230 V for the XKM models. The most powerful, the APM150, lifts water up to 90 m according to its datasheet.

Choosing a peripheral pump

A peripheral pump favours pressure: it lifts water high, but with limited flow. If you mainly need flow, to fill a tank or water a garden, a centrifugal pump is a better fit. They draw water from a depth of 6 to 8 m at most, depending on the model. Our guide on which water pump for a house helps you compare.

Our models

  • LEO APM110: 1.1 kW, max. head 85 m, max. flow 4.2 m³/h, max. suction 8 m.
  • LEO APM150: 1.5 kW, max. head 90 m, max. flow 4.8 m³/h, max. suction 8 m.
  • LEO XKM60-1: 0.37 kW, max. head 40 m, max. flow 40 L/min.
  • LEO XKM70-1: specifications on request.
  • LEO XKM80-1: 0.75 kW, max. head 70 m, max. flow 60 L/min, max. suction 6 m.

Frequently asked questions

Peripheral or centrifugal pump?

A peripheral pump gives high pressure at low flow: it suits taps on upper floors. A centrifugal pump gives more flow at lower pressure: it suits filling a tank or watering. See our guide on which water pump for a house.

How high can the LEO peripheral pumps lift water?

Up to 90 m for the LEO APM150 and 85 m for the APM110, according to their datasheets. That head is reached at almost zero flow. In normal use, the pump operates at a lower head, with more flow.
