Silent diesel generators: what to know
Our 9 silent diesel generators provide backup for a home, a shop or an office during power cuts. They are enclosed, air-cooled Bison and Brux sets from 5 to 15 kVA, all with electric start. The range has 4 single-phase and 5 three-phase models.
Choosing a silent diesel generator
An air-cooled silent set is mainly for backup. For long hours every day, choose a water-cooled set instead (air-cooled or water-cooled). Also match the number of phases of your installation: most homes are single-phase (single-phase or three-phase). For the size, see our guide on what size generator for a house or use the finder.

Frequently asked questions
Single- or three-phase: which models?
Single-phase 220 V: Bison BS7500DSE (5 kVA), BS9500DSE (6.5 kVA), BS11000DSE (8 kVA) and Brux BX6500DSE (5.75 kVA). Three-phase 220/380 V: the Brux BX6500DSE3-3D (5.75 kVA), BX8500DSE3-3D (7.5 kVA), BX11000DSE3-3D (9.4 kVA), BX15000DSE3-3D (11.9 kVA) and BX16000DSE3-3D (15 kVA).
Can these sets be connected to an automatic transfer switch (ATS)?
Yes for the six Brux sets: their datasheets mention an ATS socket. The Bison datasheets do not mention one. An automatic transfer switch moves your supply to the generator during an outage. For the choice of switch and its connection, ask our team when you request installation.
