Water-cooled diesel generators up to 2,000 kVA: what to know
Our 25 water-cooled diesel generators power buildings, businesses and industrial sites for long hours. They range from 13 to 2,000 kVA and are fitted with Perkins engines, Leroy-Somer alternators and Deep Sea controllers. All of them are three-phase, at 400/230 V or 380/220 V and 50 Hz. Every model comes in a soundproof or an open-frame version.
Choosing a water-cooled diesel generator
Start by working out your generator size: the finder allows for how your motors start. Then check which rating to read on the datasheet. For a set that runs several hours a day during load-shedding, that is prime power (prime or standby power). Finally, pick the version: a soundproof canopy for a set placed outdoors near people, or an open frame for a plant room (soundproof or open frame).
Our models

Frequently asked questions
How much fuel does a 100 kVA set use?
According to its datasheet, the 100 kVA set with a Perkins 1104C-44TAG2 engine uses 22.6 L/h at full load. Consumption drops at part load. Our guide to fuel consumption in litres per hour has the table from 13 to 2,000 kVA.
Does the 13 kVA set deliver 13 or 15 kVA?
Both, depending on the duty. The 13 kVA set delivers 13 kVA (10.4 kW) prime, for unlimited hours under a varying load. It delivers 15 kVA (11.4 kW per its datasheet) standby, which is for outages only and limited in time. See our guide to prime and standby power.
What voltages do these sets supply?
They are three-phase. Their datasheets state 400/230 V or 380/220 V, at 50 Hz. A three-phase set also feeds single-phase circuits, between one phase and neutral. Spread the single-phase loads across the three phases (single-phase or three-phase).
