Compaction equipment: what to know
Our 5 Bison compaction machines compact soil, backfill, trenches and bedding layers before slabs or paving. The range has 2 plate compactors, 2 tamping rammers and 1 road roller. Each machine has its own combustion engine and works without a mains connection.
Plate compactor or tamping rammer: what is the difference?
A plate compactor suits large surfaces, granular soils (sand, gravel) and paving. A tamping rammer strikes the ground in rapid blows: it suits trenches, tight spots and cohesive soils such as clay.
